Platform improvements

Available now

In January, we began preparing for the biggest change to the underlying technology that supports Epraise in many years. We updated every single page on the site and took the opportunity to resolve any issues or inefficiencies that we found along the way.

When these changes went live at the end of August, most people would not have known that any changes had happened. These changes however, mean that Epraise is going to be faster, more reliable and even easier for us to improve going forward. We've got some really exciting things planned over the coming months and we're looking forward to building on these improvements.

AWS migration

Coming soon!

Alongside our improvements to the Epraise platform itself, we're also looking to start making use of some more modern infrastructure technologies by migrating from Rackspace to AWS. Working with the outstanding DevOps team at Veracross, this has been another huge project that we're very excited to be bringing to Epraise. We're planning to 'flip the switch' on Wednesday 18th October at 5pm UK time. There will be a short period of downtime as we ensure that all school data has successfully migrated and as always we'll let you know of any delays on our website.

Other improvements

Available now

We've also been working on a long list of smaller incremental improvements - here are some examples:

  • Interventions: We've improved the user flow when escalating an intervention
  • APIs: We've added per year group leaderboards & improved documentation
  • International: We've added the polish zloty as a currency option and updated our privacy policy for US visitors
  • Documentation: We've improved our supported MIS documentation
  • Timetables: We've added teacher initials on the web app and teacher names to our mobile apps
  • MIS sync: We've improved our matching of foundation stage year groups & allowed schools to choose an alternative email priority for parents
  • Grid award: We've added a back button
